We Will Never Be the Same

So we are a little behind posting this... last Saturday William took his first real independent steps. He has been dancing around the idea for a while and had the ability but not the desire. He still isn't too interested in walking but has been doing it a little more each day. So we are getting a gradual transition into chaos.

Some first steps

Mia is very involved in the process (sometimes a little too much in the way). Unfortunately we say the word "walk" to William which is quite cruel since she gets excited and thinks we are going out with her.

yay!
soon, sweet william will be in the toddler room with me and the boy!

have people started asking you when you're going to have the next one? that william needs a brother or sister? or should i say, telling you?

that's my favorite. (read: not my favorite)

yes!!!
in fact, the 'asking' started about a month after William was born. when you are single people ask when you are getting married. once you get married they start asking about kids. once you have one they start asking about the next one. i guess you know you are officially old when people stop asking about the next milestone.

William probably does need a brother or sister but that freaks mom out a bit right now.

i hear you on the "freaking mom out a bit"...

i'm not sure what we'll do about a brother/sister for isaac. this might have to be his first big disappointment in life!

william must be fully running at this point. once they take that first alone step, the walking skills increase exponentially.

how are the renovations? pictures?
